Private by design: your playlist is edited inside your browser and is never uploaded to IPTV Wire. Xtream logins are only used once to read your channel list and are never stored.

How to edit an M3U playlist

  1. 1

    Add your playlist

Upload the .m3u or .m3u8 file from your IPTV provider, paste the playlist text or link, or sign in with your Xtream Codes details (server, username and password).

  2. 2

    Keep only what you watch

Untick the groups you never use, switch off Movies or Series to shrink a huge playlist, and remove duplicates in one click.

  3. 3

    Organise channels

Create your own groups (like Favourites or My Sports) and add channels to them from any category. Hold the ⠿ handle and slide up or down to put channels and groups in your order.

  4. 4

    Use it in your app

Get a link for your playlist to paste into TiviMate, IPTV Smarters, OTT Navigator or VLC, or download the file. Update the link any time and your app picks up the changes.

Why edit your IPTV playlist?

Provider playlists often contain tens of thousands of channels, movies and episodes, most of which you will never watch. Large playlists load slowly, make the TV guide sluggish and turn channel surfing into endless scrolling, especially on a Firestick or an older Android TV box.

Trimming the playlist to the groups you actually use, with your favourite channels at the top, makes your IPTV app faster and much easier to use. Because the stream links stay unchanged, everything keeps working exactly as before.

Frequently asked questions

Is my playlist uploaded to IPTV Wire?

No. All editing happens in your browser and your playlist is never uploaded or stored on our servers. The only exception is the Xtream Codes option (and get.php playlist links): browsers cannot reach most Xtream servers directly, so our server reads your channel list once on your behalf. Your login is used for that single request and is never stored or logged. If you leave “Remember in this browser” on, a copy is kept only on your own device.

Can I use my Xtream Codes login?

Yes. Choose “Xtream Codes login” and enter the server address, username and password from your provider’s welcome email. The editor loads your live channels (and movies if you choose) with their groups, logos and TV guide ids, ready to edit and download as an M3U playlist. Series are not included because every show is a separate request; upload your provider’s M3U file for those.

Why does my playlist link not load?

Links in the usual Xtream format (…/get.php?username=…&password=…) are read through our Xtream loader, so they work even when they start with http://. Other links are loaded by your browser, and many providers block that. If it fails, open the link in a new browser tab to download the file, then upload it to the editor.

Do I have to download the playlist file?

No. Press “Get a link for this playlist” and you get a private link to paste into TiviMate, IPTV Smarters, OTT Navigator or VLC as an M3U playlist URL. When you edit again and press “Update link”, the same link serves the new version, so you never have to change it in your app. Each playlist you edit gets its own link, and your other links are listed under “Your other playlist links”. The link is hosted on a separate storage address, not on iptvwire.org. Keep it private: like your provider’s link, it contains your login. You can delete it at any time.

Can I make my own channel group?

Yes. Press “+ New group”, give it a name, then open any category, tick the channels you want and press “Add to group”. The channels are copied, so they also stay in their original group (use “Move” to take them out instead). Hold the ⠿ handle next to a channel or group and slide up or down to change its position, on a computer or a phone.

Will my edited playlist keep working?

Yes, as long as your subscription is active. The editor only changes names, groups and order; the stream links stay exactly as your provider sent them. If your provider changes its links or your password, download a fresh playlist and edit it again.

Can it handle very large playlists?

Yes. It is built for playlists with tens of thousands of entries. Switching off Movies and Series is the quickest way to make a large playlist load faster in your IPTV app.

Does it keep the TV guide (EPG)?

Yes. The EPG address in the playlist header and each channel’s tvg-id are kept. You can also edit a channel’s tvg-id so it matches your guide.

Which apps can use the edited playlist?

Any app that accepts an M3U file, including TiviMate, IPTV Smarters Pro, OTT Navigator, GSE Smart IPTV, Kodi (PVR IPTV Simple Client) and VLC.
